About Us

  • JaMTech

    JaMTech was formed by Andrew Jacobs and Martin West in 2004 with the aim of providing the best possible software designed for use by schools that realised the needs of teachers and administrators alike. All JaMTech products are put through extensive trials in actual school programs before release and have many features requested by schools incorporated in the design.

  • Andrew Jacobs

    Andrew studied music and computer science at Melbourne College of Advanced Education and was the author of software titles “Learn Music” and “Sports Events”. Andrew has presented professional development sessions on using the web and music administration software. He is presently teaching instrumental music with Victorian DEECD and is owner of “The Wind Miller”.

  • Martin West

    Martin is currently Manager of Instrumental Music at McKinnon Secondary College in Melbourne. He has been a Music Administrator for over 20 years and has worked teaching instrumental music in Victorian secondary schools since 1980. Martin has also taught woodwind pedagogy at the University of Melbourne where he also directed the Clarinet Choir. In addition to teaching woodwinds, Martin presents professional development classes in Music Technology. He has presented numerous courses on Finale, SmartMusic, FileMaker Pro, Band In A Box and digital recording techniques and received an appointment as course presenter for the Leading Practice Classroom Network sponsored by DEECD.
